Rita is a well-seasoned and commercially minded people and culture executive, thought leader, consultant, coach, educator, writer and speaker with over 20 years broad multi-discipline generalist experience in her chosen vocation. With a strong background in in the retail industry, Rita has held senior executive roles within local and global organisations and her consulting experience has spread across a number of industry sectors including retail, FMCG, IT, energy, professional services, government and NFP. Rita’s most recent in-house role was as Group General Manager, Human Resources for the global Swedish home furnishings company, IKEA.

In 2008, Rita started up her boutique consulting firm Particularly People, which advises to and supports a diverse portfolio of clients on people and culture strategies. Rita is passionate on the topic of organisations strengthening business performance and financial results through effective leadership, organisational culture and employee engagement. Rita is also an experienced senior project manager having led a series of organisational change and transformational projects. She also provides tailored coaching programs to business leaders and HR professionals.

Rita is a Fellow member of the Australian Human Resources Institute; a Member of the Australian Institute of Management; a Member of Women on Boards, and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Resulting from a philosophy that learning is most effective from sharing and exchanging real life experiences, Rita has been a key note speaker at various leading conferences and education forums, mentors upcoming HR professionals and managers, and has written articles for several books and professional journals.

Rita is married with a young daughter and resides in Sydney.
